The Higher Council for Science & Technology, Badia Research & Development Centre works with the IALC on projects in such areas as remote sensing, water harvesting, brackish/effluent waters, afforestation, water and soil conservation, dryland agroforestry, and ecological processes in artificial savannahs.

• The Jordan Badia Research & Development Centre was created in the HCST for the sustainable development of the desertified Badia environment

• The Badia Programme works to improve the standards of living of Jordan's inhabitants.
